At a time when democratic values are under unprecedented pressure, philanthropy has a vital role in protecting and strengthening our democratic institutions. Please join us on Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 12–2:30 PM ET | 9–11:30 AM PT for a virtual strategy summit bringing together funders, philanthropy-serving organizations, and philanthropy-infrastructure organizations to explore what this moment demands of our sector—and how we can respond together. Building on the funders-only day at our annual Convening in Montgomery, AL, this gathering offers a chance to strategically connect and engage with colleagues across the philanthropic field.

The program will open with a keynote fireside chat featuring Skye Perryman, President and CEO of Democracy Forward, and Andrea Campbell, Attorney General of Massachusetts, moderated by Keely Monroe of the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation.

We’ll also hear an important sector update from Democracy Fund before moving into facilitated breakout discussions where participants can share perspectives, identify urgent needs, and surface opportunities for joint action. A collective report-back will close the day, weaving together insights and strategies to guide our shared work ahead.

Whether you are deeply engaged in defending democracy or seeking to expand your organization’s role, this summit will provide a timely space for reflection, connection, and coordination.
