The Census Equity Initiative Steering Committee, Census Counts Campaign, FCCP’s Funders Census Initiative and United Philanthropy Forum joined together to review and reflect on newly released findings from a comprehensive evaluation of the national funder-stakeholder 2020 Census collaborative.
The Census Equity Initiative will continue the census collaborative that was created in the buildup to the 2020 decennial census.

The census doesn’t end when the counting stops. Planning for the 2030 Census is well underway.

On August 5, 506 philanthropic leaders, representing nearly every state across the country, issued a letter to the US Department of Commerce with a clear message: Don’t cut the census short.
The Funders Census Initiative, in coordination with Census Counts and the CUNY Mapping Service, hosted a weekly — then bimonthly — briefing for funders and practitioners during the 2020 Census self-response phase.
