Steven is recognized for moving philanthropy toward greater investment in people and communities and supporting community leaders to become increasingly influential advocates and drivers of change. Most recently, he served as the executive director of The Partnership Funds, a funding collaborative dedicated to winning greater democracy and equity—from New Mexico to Minnesota to Virginia and beyond. As the founder of his own consulting firm, a senior leader at the Tides Foundation, and an early staff member at Ballot Initiative Strategy Center, Steven has earned a reputation as an entrepreneurial, collaborative leader.
