The Commonwealth Alliance

    Neville Blakemore is the State Director for The Commonwealth Alliance, a stakeholder collaborative that is focused on coordinating the education, financial organization and political resources of the progressive eco-system in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.  For 2018, alliance is launching the Kentucky Civic Engagement Table and the Kentucky Vote Engagement Table.

    Prior to working with the alliance, Neville has over twenty years in the private sector as a business owner and entrepreneur.  He has served in executive management roles related to all aspects of high growth companies with multiple divisions located across the country: strategic vision and implementation, sales and marketing, operations and manufacturing, M&A, investor relations, public relations, customer service, finance, accounting, and human resources.

    Mr. Blakemore serves on a wide range of civic and charitable organizations, such as the Boy Scouts of America – Lincoln Heritage Council, Committee for Fairness & Individual Rights, Kentucky Center for African American Heritage, Louisville Metro Police Foundation, Louisville Urban League, Muhammad Ali Center, Restorative Justice of Louisville, and the University of Louisville Board of Overseers.

    A graduate of Macalester College, with a Major in History, he holds an M.B.A. from Boston University’s School of Management with a concentration in entrepreneurialism. Neville is married to Jessica Bird, a #1 New York Times bestselling author, and they have a daughter.
