Ilona is a Program Officer at Wellspring Philanthropic Fund, a foundation with offices in Washington, DC and New York, NY. She began her career there as a Program Associate in 2009, working in the Civil Society program that focuses on civic engagement efforts that include voter engagement, and voting rights issues. Prior to Wellspring, Ilona was a program analyst at Newman and Associates. Previous employment includes work in both the Senate (Senator Paul Sarbanes) and the House of Representatives (Congressmen Earl Pomeroy and Chris Van Hollen), on Senator Kerry’s presidential campaign in his Boston field office, in the public and government relations firm O’Neill and Associates, and in the non-profits of World Education and the Youth Advocate Program International. She graduated magna cum laude from Northeastern University in Boston with a B.A. in political science and international affairs and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Public Administration.
