Four Freedoms Fund
Bobby Clark has worked in strategic communications for more than 20 years. Since launching a consulting practice in 2016, Bobby has worked with funders on a range of issues –including immigration, healthcare, progressive narrative development, youth engagement, and climate change — on large-scale messaging research and communications assessments, as well as national/multi-state project development.
Previously, Bobby served as Vice President for Communications and Programs at Gill Foundation, one of the nation’s largest funders of work advancing LGBT equality and a key funder of Colorado’s progressive infrastructure.
At Gill Foundation, Bobby helped lead development of critical communications capacity for high-impact, state-based public education campaigns to help win the freedom to marry and build public will to end legalized discrimination against LGBT people. Bobby also helped lead the foundation’s nationally recognized investments in progressive infrastructure in Colorado.
Prior to joining Gill Foundation, Bobby helped found ProgressNow, a national network of state-based organizations providing critical earned media and digital communications capacity for the progressive movement in the states.
A graduate of the University of Oklahoma and Vanderbilt Law School, Bobby lives in Denver with his husband, Shaun Cartwright, and their Border Collie, Lady.
