They say when we fall or fail, it’s often easier to stay down than to find the energy and resolve to rise up and keep going. To rise and show people that what you do matters. To rise in pursuit of inclusivity, human dignity, and opportunity. To rise with understanding the difference between a handout and a hand up. Because this is how we work. This is how we achieve change and progress. This is what we do at FCCP. We rise.Unfortunately, devastating conflict and violence are also rising around much of the world. This demands our attention and our resolve in contributing to seeking peace and healing by whatever means we have at our disposal. And while we navigate the fear, worries, and effects here at home, more importantly so do those we serve. Those who rely on the diverse programs and services that FCCP members support and invest in. Those whose lives and livelihoods we help to make more secure and sustainable. These challenges – contemporary in scope and scale but ancient and corrupting in terms of hate and prejudice – can feel unsurmountable. Overwhelming. Intractable. Nonetheless, we will rise and meet them clear eyed and with the same determination and dedication that drives us to pursue new possibilities and to deliver on the promise of philanthropy. As we rise together – as we continue to find strength and knowledge in our collective – we hope you will join us at FCCP’s 2024 Convening taking place in Phoenix, Arizona from April 15-18th.Early bird registration is available until January 31st. For more information and event details, please visit https://funderscommittee.swoogo.com/RegisterPlease also note that members receive a discounted rate.
