About the Event:

FCCP’s members’ café convenes three times a year, and creates a space for philanthropy to reflect on our collective victories, challenges, & evolving strategies towards building a just & equitable democracy.

Join us for our February Members’ Café on Feb. 25 at 1:30 p.m. ET for a timely, member-only conversation grounded in the current reality of escalating threats to our communities. As ICE actions continue to terrorize immigrant communities—particularly in Minneapolis and beyond—funders are being called on to respond with urgency, care, and coordination.

This session will feature insights from members including Four Freedoms Fund and Heising-Simons Foundation, highlighting how funders are supporting grantee partners facing heightened safety and security risks, uncertainty, and rapidly evolving conditions. The conversation will focus on safety and security threats impacting organizations across the broader democracy ecosystem, including those on the frontlines of defending the rights of immigrants of all kinds.

This café is intended as a space for funder members to learn from one another and to discuss what is needed to build and strengthen the infrastructure required to fund safety and security for grantee partners in this moment. Together, we will share what we are seeing on the ground and reflect on strategies and resources funders need to meet this moment with clarity and resolve.

This members-only virtual coffee is a dedicated space for FCCP members. If you are not a current FCCP member and would like to join our membership, please click here to learn more or contact us at members@funderscommittee.org.
