To make real changes in our democracy and the issues we care about, we must take nonpartisan steps to close the participation gap between underrepresented communities and the voting age population as a whole. Registering voters is an initial and necessary step to increasing the representation of these communities in the voting booth and in policymaking. We debuted brand-new data and insights from the most recent Independent Voter Registration report and reviewed other research and experiments that continue to improve how nonprofits approach this work.
