NEIGHBORHOOD FUNDERS' GROUP 2012 SOCIAL JUSTICE INSTITUTE
July 10th - 11th, 2012
Skillman Foundation, Detroit, MI

ON LINE REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN FOR NFG'S
2012 SOCIAL JUSTICE INSTITUTE

The NFG board of directors, staff and the 2012 Social Justice Institute Planning Committee are very pleased to announce the opening of on-line registration for the 2012 Neighborhood Funders' Group Social Justice Institute!

NFG's 2012 Social Justice Institute is the 5th in a national series of signature professional development and peer exchange sessions offered by NFG for grantmakers currently working or interested in social justice philanthropy, learning and practice.

NFG defines social justice philanthropy as: "using the tools of money and power to build influence that advances democracy, civic engagement and social justice to create positive change in broad areas such as community development, youth and community organizing, workforce development, economic opportunity and anti-poverty efforts." Past Social Justice Institutes were designed as experiential learning opportunities offering training that engaged funders in the study of power and money as tools for social justice movement building; helping to create an informal national network of social justice philanthropy practitioners.
NFG is very excited to be able to bring this multi-day, deep-dive learning and professional development opportunity to our membership and colleagues throughout the Michigan and Northwest Ohio region and in cosponsorship with the Interfaith Funders Network's 2012 Retreat.

2012 NFG Social Justice Institute Co-Sponsors (to-date):
